Prevalence of Sinew String in Patients Coming to a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-Sectional Study

Background: The aim of this study to evaluate the dentulous and edentulous maxillae in microstructure incisive canals their surrounding bone order show structural qualities. Study Design: was cross sectional being conducted at Dental Department DOW International College, Karachi for six month from July 2022 December 2022. Methodology: A total number patients N=240. right left sides each patient were classified as either or dentulous. After receiving written consent, who monitored on both checked see if sinew string present not. data analyzed by SPSS 21. Results: There 240 all, 130 whom men 110 them women. Males (54.1%) females (46%) made up group. with greatest ages 21- 51 years old. patients' average age 38 ± 15 years. frequency similar respect gender. significant difference between dentulous; p<0.005** observed using simply seen, pushing oblique line pulling cheek sideways. Conclusion: Sinew attempted maintain control buccal mucosa movement block mouths posterior vestibule. occurrence strings greater than usual. Keywords: strings, Dentulous, Edentulous, mandibular.
